Patient and Family Feedback

It is a joy to share, in the words of our clients, the positive outcomes of Occupational Therapy

Mary Jo came to me when I felt life was hopeless and I would never recover from a brain injury after a fall. I was unable to do simple tasks or communicate effectively. Everyday was a struggle. Mary Jo helped me to understand not only my injury, but continue to educate me on how to deal with the new challenges in my life. I have seen many doctors because of my injury and I kept getting the same answer "we don't know how to help you and all you need is time." I was also told by several doctors not to do anything and to primarily sit and wait and hope. Mary Jo walked into my house and changed my life. I was allowed to try to do the many things the other doctors told me not to do. Mary Jo helped me cook, learn how to follow directions, garden, do dishes, and took me to a park to walk. I will be forever grateful for the services I received and today, because of her help and dedication to me and to my wellness, I am able to be a functional member of society again. By spring, I will have my old life back, my job, and myself. Mary Jo McGuire was sent by God after I had given up.
